Sakshi Jain is building her career in Canada’s construction industry through the Building Builders mentorship program, where she was matched with Mentor Candace MacDonald.
Originally working in structural design in India, Sakshi joined the program to gain a broader understanding of construction project delivery in Canada. Through Building Builders, she received transportation support, PPE for industry site visits, and access to a wage subsidy placement with EllisDon, where she gained hands-on experience as a Project Coordinator intern.
Reflecting on her experience, Sakshi shared how mentorship helped her build confidence and connect her past experience to new opportunities in Canada’s construction sector.
