Glenn McLoughlin recently completed his formal mentorship with Mentee Sean Elder through the Building Builders program.
With a career spanning carpentry, heavy equipment operation, site supervision, and construction management, Glenn brought decades of industry experience to the mentorship relationship.
Reflecting on the experience, Glenn shared that the mentorship sessions created a welcoming environment for open dialogue, learning, and reflection on his own career journey.
“Our conversations created a welcoming, productive space, encouraging genuine dialogue while inspiring me to reflect on the early stages of my own career.”
— Glenn McLoughlin, BCCA Building Builders Mentor
He also described mentorship as an opportunity to step into an “Industry Coach” role, drawing on his passion for guidance and leadership while supporting the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
Glenn’s experience highlights the lasting impact mentorship can have on both Mentors and Mentees across the construction industry.
