Mohit Miyan, BCCA Building Builders Mentee

Building a Future as an Electrician

There’s a lot to learn when you’re just starting out in the trades. For first-year electrical apprentice Mohit Miyan, the Building Builders Mentorship Program provided steady support and guidance right from the start. Matched with experienced Red Seal electrician and mentor Bill Hanson, he quickly found himself not only building =practical skills, but also gaining valuable industry insights.

As a first-year electrical apprentice, joining the Building Builders Mentorship Program has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Starting out in the trades can be overwhelming, but this program gave me the support, guidance, and confidence I needed to get started on the right foot.

My mentor was incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions and share real-world advice. He helped me understand the electrical trade and construction industry on a deeper level. His guidance not only improved my technical skills but also opened my eyes to the many paths and opportunities within the industry.

Thanks to Building Builders, I feel more prepared, more motivated, and proud to be part of a community that truly wants to see apprentices succeed. I’d recommend this program to anyone entering the trades.”

Mohit’s experience highlights what’s possible when apprentices are connected with industry mentors who are invested in their success. By fostering connections like this one, the Building Builders Mentorship Program is helping to build a strong and skilled workforce.
