“I have had the privilege of participating in the BCCA (Building Builders) Mentorship Program for a year. My particular focus is immigrants, and I have been very impressed with the 2 people I have mentored so far. They are both incredibly hard working and are taking coursework here in Canada to upgrade their skills and their language. While I feel like I’ve made a positive impact in their lives, answering their questions, providing direction, the best thing about this program is, selfishly, how this experience is enriching me. Not only are these mentees giving me new insight into the culture they come from but are providing me with a way to give back to the industry that has given so much.”
